September Happenings

September feels like a month of transitions. Summer is winding down, fall is creeping in, and somehow the year is almost over?! It feels like we just got through the first half of the year, and now we’re already heading into the last few months.

I’m definitely leaning into the fall vibes this month, from pumpkin spice and cooler weather to my ever-growing list of books that feel perfect for this time of year.

Speaking of books…

There is also a certain Christmas romcom making its way into the conversation. I know it’s September, but what if we could enjoy the fall weather and our fun fall drinks while reading a Christmas romcom?

I know it’s September and we’re supposed to be focusing on pumpkins, falling leaves, and fun fall drinks… but what if we read a Christmas romcom while enjoying the fall weather and drinking our fun drinks?

I’m really leaning into those fall vibes with my physical TBR for the month of September.

From My Desk To Yours

Thank you for being here, for reading my stories, cheering on new releases, sharing your thoughts, and being part of this little corner of the bookish world. Every bit of support means more than you probably realize.

I’ve been through a ton of progressions recently with this undefined disease, but I do see the neurologist tomorrow, and to say I’m excited is very underrated. LOL! But I have been enjoying this gorgeous weather with Monty, and I have been studying a lot of my Irish/Scottish witchy heritage.

Bits of the end of Sophie have been in my head since 2024 to be honest. It’s a matter of saying goodbye to a story I love so much that has me partially procrastinating, I guess. From saying goodbye to Nana all over again, to making sure there’s bows on every single cliffy for you (yes, I know I have a ton floating around out there…) I just can’t help but want to give her the justice she deserves. So, you can only imagine how fitting it has been to study the Word Witch history, because it’s the story Sophie is wrapping up with without me even knowing! It will definitely be worth the wait. I just need to get back into my stabby stabby mood to wrap it up, and BOY am I doing everything possible to get there!

However, I’m also very excited to get Lucy and Jake in your hands. It turned out so much better than I was expecting, and people’s reactions are blowing me away! I was over Christmas when I was done, but seeing people’s excitement has me getting excited for the holidays (starting with Halloween, of course) at the moment. And the cooler weather has me dancing around and excited. (Especially for October 14th so I can get out and vote early!)

I still haven’t given up on the game designing. Still trying to figure out what kind of game I want to design. And if you think I’m not doing something for this final chapter, well…you don’t know me very well. Ha! Also, there’s new merch in the shop, plus you know there’s stuff percolating in this brain constantly.

There’s always something happening behind the scenes, and I can’t wait to share more of it with you. Until then, keep reading, keeping adding books to that TBR you swear you’re going to catch up on, and I’ll see you next time.
