May Bookish Updates

bookstore news + upcoming events

Hi friends!

I hope you’re all doing well, settling into the new month nicely, and finding plenty of time to get some reading in. I wanted to send out a few updates, reminders, and fun bookish things happening this month!

Upcoming Book Events

I have a few exciting book events coming up this year that I’m really looking forward to! I’m so grateful for every opportunity to meet readers, and I’d love to see some of you there!

  • AVCON - July 4th -5th, 2026

  • Fables and Filth Virtual Event - July 24th-27th, 2026

  • Royal Adelaide Show - September 5th -13th, 2026

  • Supanova Adelaide - October 1st - November 1st, 2026

If you’d like to help spread the word, sharing on your socials always means so much.

Indie Bookstore Form

I recently created a form for indie bookstores and I’m so excited about it! If you own an indie bookstore or know one that may be interested, I would truly appreciate you sharing it around. Sophie was added to Bookvault to help give indie bookstores a cheaper cut than Ingramspark. I hope this helps!

Book Recommendations

Here are a few of the books I’ve been loving lately:

  • Mexican Gothic - Silvia Moreno-Garcia

  • Nocticadia - Keri Lake

  • Gothikana - RuNyx

My Shopify Store is Open!

You can now purchase paperbacks and hardcovers directly through my new Shopify store! The link has officially been added to my Linktree, and I’d love for you all to check it out!

I’ll also be adding merch back into the shop soon.

Thank you all so much for your continued support! It truly means the world to me and I am eternally grateful you’re here. Monty and I continue to work on his training. We’re currently mastering “potty” on command (to prevent accidents in stores when we get to that point) and heeling. We have found different food and treats hopefully to help with his anxiety and allergy issue. *fingers crossed And I had a bunch of tests done myself. I’ve had the MRI, an EKG, and some bloodwork so far. I get to see an eye doctor who also has a degree in neurology in August, and the neurologist in September. I’m supposed to also have a sleep study done. That way everyone can know how little I sleep. Ha! Still, they might be able to catch my nighttime convulsions, too. So, we’ll see. I’m going to take a notebook and pen, because it’s usually when all the best book ideas come. At least for me.

Talk Soon,

Stormi
