April has been a bit rough. My pain level jumped from a consistent 8/10 to a consistent 10/10 with nausea to match. Ugh! So, I have spent a lot of time sleeping just to make it through the day. However, I do have a lot to tell you, so let’s get to it!

May 9th 5:30pm-7:30pm I will be in Salina, KS at Red Fern Booksellers to sign some Sophie books with 6 other local authors! If you’re in the area, be sure to come say hi!

Family of Love, of course, is available for preorder, so if you haven’t gotten your copy yet, you’ll want to! Not only does this include backstories of the family members Sophie chose to be a part of her family, but there are also Easter eggs for Reign of the Raven. So, don’t skip these novellas. They have information you want.

I have also checked my victim list, and some of you will be making a second appearance. This leaves me with 96 people (Outside of the original 4 that were chosen to be secondary characters in the first place) to deal with before all is said and done. I’m sure

Dead Draw Kickstarter Campaign Update…

Well, I got the books today, and only 6 of them were salvageable. Plus, two of them were completely destroyed simply because they put them on the floorboard, then pushed the seat back. Two books were bent so badly that the spine was busted, and the book was smashed to half the size!

So, I collected the 6 books, and shipped the three off that I could. She’s going to repaint those which need to be repainted, and I have ordered two more books to replace the ones that were destroyed. She’s still working on The Protector books and we had a “help me understand” conversation about how no more books would be carelessly destroyed, because it would not end well should I have to order any more books due to carelessness.

Unfortunately for me, the stress of today has really affected my migraine. My face has fallen, and I see nothing but squiggles. Stress is not my friend. So, today has been full of rest. And as soon as I get books that are worthy of sending, I will send them to you.

Birth of the Legend Kickstarter Campaign Update….

Well, I can’t start this campaign until the Dead Draw campaign is officially finished, and since we’re hitting some snags, I’m prepping it to hit the ground running as soon as possible.

I do have the bonus chapter already written and edited and ready to go. I also have the hardcover done for the limited edition! Check it out!

Family of Fate Update…

Although I didn’t get any words done today, I did manage to get over 2,500 words added to Family of Fate already, giving us a total of 6100! As of right now, there will be 21 of you in this chapter (depending on word count, because I’m not allowed to go over 40K on a novella)

I hope to keep working on this and have it finished by the end of year. Fingers crossed!

I will still have 96 of you to “deal with” in "Reign of the Raven according to the demands of the story thus far, so it’s going to be quite interesting…LOL!

Random Info…

Jack is still a complete menace, who is part vampire, and definitely wears me out more often than not. He’s discovered the table and how to get on the kitchen counter and sink and doesn’t care that we tell him “ no”. Tape and foil did nothing. But he’s doing good I guess…LOL

Gavin is studying really hard to get his instructional driver’s license, because he gets to take driver’s ed this summer through the high school. Something Mario slacked on several years ago that I fought for so he wouldn’t be denied jobs and we could have another driver in the house since I shouldn’t be driving as much as I do. However, with his autism, it’s been very overwhelming for him, so we’re spending a lot of time working on that.

I did get my second denial for SSDI, so I’m now being sent to the hearing department to go before a judge. Although I don’t know how long it will take, or what condition SSDI will be in by the time I actually get approved, but I know I can’t work since I can barely function right now. There is a Go Fund Me still going on for the MRI and other medical expenses if you’re interested.
